How we handle your info
This is the plain version of how Rising Recruits handles what you send us. No fine print. If something here doesn't make sense, just ask.
What we collect
When you send us film, the form asks for:
- Player name, grad year, position(s), height and weight
- High school, city and state
- GPA and current offers, if you add them
- A Hudl or film link
- The player's X handle, if you add it
- Head coach name and X handle, if you add them
- Who's submitting (player, parent or coach), a contact email, and a phone number if you add one
- Whether the player is under 18, and a parent or guardian name if they are
- Your answers to the checkboxes: the info check, the permission to share, and the OK to use a photo from X
If you use the Contact form, we get your name, email and message. We don't take file uploads, so we never get photos or videos through the site.
How we use it
- We take a look at the film and the info you send.
- We use your email or phone only to get back to you about the submission.
- We only post about a player if the permission box was checked.
- We only use a photo of the player from their public X profile or posts if the photo box was checked.
- When we post, we stick to the football stuff: name, school, grad year, position, stats, offers and film. Sending film doesn't promise a post, a feature or any result.
What we never do
- We never sell your info.
- We never post a family's email or phone number.
- We never reach out to players under 18 in private messages.
Who helps us run the site
- Formspree receives the form and sends it to our email.
- Netlify hosts the website.
- Google Fonts provides the fonts on the page. These services have their own privacy policies.
Players under 18
If the player is under 18, a parent or guardian needs to be the one who gives permission to share. If a player under 18 reaches out to us on their own, we'll ask them to bring in a parent or guardian and use the form.
Take it down or delete it, anytime
Want a post taken down, or want us to delete what you sent? Just ask, anytime. Send us a note through the Contact form at the bottom of our home page and tell us the player's name. We'll take care of it as soon as we can.
